PDF Help
If you are experiencing difficulties opening a PDF document then here are a few guidance points from the Adobe website to help you:
Firstly
Update to Adobe Acrobat 6.0.1 or a later version for free by visiting the Adobe website
Secondly
Disable 'Web Browser Integration'
- Click on the 'start' button in the bottom left of your screen
- Move the cursor to 'Programs'
- Open Adobe Reader or Acrobat
- When Adobe Reader or Acrobat is open select 'Edit' at the top of your screen, then 'Preferences' and then on the left choose the 'Internet' option
- Deselect 'Display PDF in Browser' and then click OK
Thirdly
Remove earlier versions of Adobe Reader or Acrobat
- Click on the 'start' button in the bottom left of your screen
- Cursor up to 'Settings' and then click on 'Control Panel'
- Double click on 'Add/Remove programs'
- If you find an earlier version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat, prior to Version 6.0.1, then remove it by selecting the programme and clicking the remove button
- You will need to restart your PC
Fourthly
Save the pdf file to your hard drive, and open it in Acrobat or Adobe Reader
- Move your cursor over the pdf link you wish to download, right-click your mouse and choose 'Save Target As'
- When the 'Save As' box opens select a location on your computer and click save
- Once the document is saved go to that document and double click to open the pdf document
